Divide & Concur

Lets talk about it; do you feel like your being tested? Does it seem like every time you take a step in the right direction, something seems to be pulling you back? You know you've heard a word from God, but things don't seem to be lining up with the word you heard?

Brothers and sisters I’d say you’re on a Red Sea journey. I call the Red Sea journeys, the events that happen in our lives that have a way of making us feel like we're on the wrong path. I've coined the Red sea in our lives as the trials, or testing that are a vital parts of our journey. They come in the form of financial difficulties, health problems, troubled relationships, and even spiritual uncertainty.

I know you know the story of the Israelites in the book of Exodus, and how they had the Red Sea before them, and Pharaoh’s army behind them. After all God had done for them, being their pillar of light by day and fire by night, they still doubted him. They went out with boldness, but as soon as the enemy appeared they lost hope. They allowed fear to overtake them and began to argue with Moses saying,
“because there were no graves in Egypt you have taken us away to die in the wilderness?”
(Exodus 14:11)
Do we do the same thing when things don’t look like there going in our favor? Or when God has not made us privy to the details of in His plan? As we read the story we could ask where their faith was, and why weren’t they trusting in God; we could also ask ourselves the same question.
The Israelites had the Red Sea before them and pharaoh's army behind them. It looked like they were trapped; it looked like they should give up- but God. What are the things in your life that have you wondering if you should give up? What is your Red Sea? These annoyances enter our lives to distract us from keeping our eyes on God.
God instructed Moses to lift his rod and stretch it out over the sea. When Moses did as he was told the waters divided and the Israelites walked through. So again I ask you, what is your red sea?
Whatever it may be, take it to the father in prayer, and cover it with unwavering faith in Him. Believe that just as he parted the waters for the Israelites, He will part the waters in your life. The God we serve hears, answers, and always has a plan of approach. Although the Israelites doubted God, he saved them. If he saved them in their disbelief, what do you think he will do for those who believe?
Prayer:
Lord we know you know the things in our lives that are troubling for us. You know what we need to separate from and what we need to leave in our past. Father we thank you because we know the same love, power, compassion and strength you had for the Israelites ages ago, you have for us today. You are still the one guiding your children from day to day. You are the all knowing, all seeing God who is with us. Thank you for loving us. Thank you for the opportunity to make our request known to you. Lord we ask you to slay the enemy on our behalf and remove any doubt, fear or anything that does not line up with you, and what you want us to do for you. Father we cast all cares at your feet knowing you are well able to handle them. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.

Speaking Life In the Face Of Negativity

What are you saying to yourself? Or should I say what negative words or actions have you allowed settle in your spirit and dictate your life. Do you realize the negative things we’ve allowed others to speak over us, even from childhood, can play a key role in how we see ourselves; and for many how they believe God see’s them.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue (prov 18:21)

For years the negative things adults said to me unconsciously settled in my spirit. I later realized their words were key contributors to my feelings of self- doubt. It wasn’t until I came to know Christ that I learned who I was because of Him. I carried resentment towards those who’d put me down, and for a greater part of my life, they had succeeded in making me feel inadequate. When began to understand the magnitude of God's love for me, I asked God to help me forgive them; I understood it was not them per say, but the spirit of darkness working through them to try and trick me into forfeiting my future.

God took the time to create each and every one of us. We are fearfully and wonderfully made. We who belong to Christ were bought with at a price that exceeds worldly value. The cost was His precious blood; His precious blood paid it all, and because He paid for us, and cleaned us up, He has chosen our bodies as his temple and dwelling place; and God is not going to dwell in junk. So what ever negativity was spoken over you in the past or you have allowed to seep into your present tell the enemy he’s lost. If he thought he was going to get you to abort your purpose, he thought wrong. You see he knows God’s plan is to give us a future, and hope according to Jeremiah 29:11, so I don’t know about you but I want to line my life up with God’s plan.

Jeremiah 33:3 is a promise from God which says, "Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things…" If we are yearning is for God to do great and mighty things in not only our life but our family, we have to call on Him, and call on Him in faith. Our father is always attentive to our voice and ready to respond. First John 5:14-15 says to have confidence, knowing that when you pray according to the will of God, which is the Word of God, He hears you. And when He hears you, He will grant your requests.

God has given us promises that speak to His love for us.When the enemy tries to whisper negative things in your ear, tell him he’s under your feet, and has no authority or power of your life. Below are some of the promises you can speak to yourself.

I am more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37)

I am free from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:2)
Although hard times may come, they pass me by because I am established in righteousness (Isaiah 54:14-15).
In the name of Jesus, I declare that I cultivate temperance by subjecting my mind and body to God's Word ( 1 Corinthians 9:27).

Greater is He Who is in me than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
I have received the gift of righteousness and reign as a king in life by Jesus Christ (Romans 5:17)

I have received the power of the Holy Spirit to lay hands on the sick and see them recover, to cast out demons, to speak with new tongues. I have power over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means harm me (Mark 16:17-18; Luke 10:17-19)

(James 4:7)

I am healed by the stripes of Jesus (Isaiah 53:3, 1 Peter 2:24)

I walk in the favor of God and my favor is increased even as I am speaking. I have more than enough money to pay every bill that comes in, and I declare I am totally debt-free now! I have the authority of Heaven and in the name of Jesus, I declare that whatever I bind on the Earth, is bound in Heaven, and whatever I loose on the Earth, is loosed in Heaven.( Matthew 16:19)

Because the Lord has given His angels charge over me, my life is redeemed from destruction. No evil comes near me, and neither does any plague come near my home (Psalm 91:10-11).

When I call on the Lord, He immediately answers me. He is with me in trouble; He always delivers me (Psalm 91:15-16).

In faith I humble myself, pray continually and turn from evil. I am confident that when I pray according to God's Word, I am praying in line with His will and that He hears me. I believe I receive the manifestation of my confessions now  (James 4:10,1 John 5-14-15)
