Prayer of Comfort

Father I m asking for an extra dose of you.  Father be with the Oram family right now.
You've taken a dear woman from us. One who will forever have a place in our hearts.
Lord we don't know the reason why you felt it was time to call her home but we continue to put our trust, hope, life, and dreams in your hands.  I ask that you be everything we need realizing that from day to day we may not exactly know what that need may be.  Father I ask that you strengthen us in ways unimaginable and be that strong tower and rock when the days seem to be unbearable and nights are dark and lonely.
Father wrap your arms around Sharmond's family especially her husband, children and those who loved her.  Strengthen our spirit Lord and teach us how to adjust to the fact that she's no longer here with us in the flesh, but we thank you for all the precious moments and memories you've given us.
We thank you for the special times we were able to share with her and we thank you for allowing us to be in her presence and be a witness the changes you'd made in her by entering her life.

Father she was my friend and I'm having trouble wrapping my mind around the fact that she will no longer be a phone call away. At times my heart is so heavy Lord and I don't know what to do or say, but I know I can look to the hills from where my help comes from.
I know that in my distress I can look to you.
I ask you to forgive me for times when I've entangled myself in my own thoughts of loss and pain and didn't take the time to look to you.  I pray that you will continue to lead and guide me.
I thank you for bring her into my life.
I thank you for the times when I needed someone to talk to you allowed her to be that person.
I thank you for all the expressions of love you allowed me to see through her and share with her.
In Jesus name I pray...Amen
